:bulletblack: Folder cleanup underway, re-organizing. Things submitted to the wrong category are subject to be removed from the group at any time w/out warning. Things are being moved out of Featured into proper folders. If they look good enough to stay in the Featured folder they may or may not be copied out into appropriate folders, as well. So if you see something of yours in two folders, don't be confused there. Only the -first- chapter of fanfiction can go in the Featured Folder, all others have been moved. Nearly the same goes with comics: the first/title page can stay there, otherwise, it stays only if it's a colored/two page/special submission. I know you put a lot of time and effort into your comics, just don't submit all your pages at the same time. From now on you can submit any page you like when you feel it's a key page, otherwise, there is now a folder dedicated to comics... and Ask Blog submissions. If your submission is a mini masterpiece but still part of an Ask Blog-related submission, it's welcome in the featured folder. Otherwise, you have a folder now.

:bulletblack: New Folders: As mentioned above, there is now a Comic/Meme/Ask Blog folder. There is also now a folder for MMD/Renders, too. If more folders are needed, suggest them?

:bulletblack: Reminder of the last update: Two submissions allowed daily, all folders but Featured automatically approve your deviations. Be sure not to break any deviantART rules.

:bulletblack: Once more... there are limitations on the Featured Folder!
You can submit -anywhere- but the Featured folder and it will be automatically approved without needing a vote. Only submit your best work to the Featured folder. Traces, renders, MMD shots, actual screenshots, poor cosplay photography, and anything eyeballed or based off of official art, including the manga, won't be approved.

Just because you added a speech bubble to a screenshot, it doesn't make it Feature-worthy. So you can redraw a panel from the manga, good for you, but why don't you try doing that without looking at the page at all instead of eyeballing it? It doesn't take skill or talent to trace or eyeball a near exact copy of something, so no, these things won't be getting into the Featured folder. They can go anywhere else. If you want that stuff in the group, you're welcome to submit it anywhere but the Featured folder.

To be totally clear, the Featured Folder is for something that hits at least two of three of the following: Creativity, Originality, Technical Skill. You can creatively do something that's been done before (making your piece unoriginal in concept only ie- recreating a scene from the game from memory, or, just drawing a character in general), but it must have technical skill. You can make something original that isn't very creative, like a Mary Sue (no, we're not judging, we hope you hit all three of the above and make a really awesome fandom OC), but have plenty of technical skill. Or you can make something original and creativity but suck at drawing (no real technical skill). Putting forth an artistic effort is what's important.

:bulletblack: Things submitted to the Featured Folder that don't belong there will be redirected to an appropriate folder from now on.
I apologize... that this group has not been keeping track of submissions. I'm just a co-founder, but it looks as though none of us have been doing our jobs and accepting submissions. So, I'm considering opening up submissions in a way where they don't need to be approved first, but, to prevent flooding, there will be a limit on how many submissions you can send per day. I think that sounds fair, but I haven't talked to any of the other founders about it. (They haven't been active for about four months... I'm going to guess this may correlate with KH3D and they've been trying to avoid spoilers?)

Submissions are now accepted as follows:
Global limit = 2 deviations per day.
Featured folder = subject to vote, expires after one month.
All other folders = automatically approved.

Other:
Make sure stuff gets in the right folder.
Can't decide on what folder to use? Use your best judgement. If you really want to ask for a recommendation, you're welcome to.
Your comments on the main page of this group will likely go unnoticed by the people in charge for a long, long time.
If you have a pressing issue, send a note (to me?) directly.

If any of the other admin take issue with this, then they are free to change it as they please, but I suggest that they write an entry here informing you all of any changes. That said, if we ever go back to requiring votes, than the person responsible for changing the settings back to that will be henceforth permanently responsible for making sure things DON'T expire. I again apologize to those of you who have had your submissions expire, I really wasn't aware the group had gotten so bad.

=/| I just wanted to do something about the group's inactivity and my own inability to take the time to approve submissions, despite the fact that I am one of three co-founders and not the founder. I'm pretty sure the contributors also had the ability to vote.

EDIT: Let me reiterate something--

Submit only your BEST work to the Featured Folder.

Submit things to their proper categories and they will automatically be approved. Lazily submitting things to 'Featured' does not guarantee they'll be accepted, as the Featured folder is subject to vote. And if your entry is a cosplay photo with poor lighting, a screen cap with speech bubbles, or stuff traced/eyeballed from official artwork or the manga: It's not getting accepted there, sorry. You can do better than that. If you really want to show off those things, submit them to folders they belong in and they'll automatically get approved. The Featured folder is the only folder with quality control enforced on it. Go wild with the rest of the folders, but submit to the Featured folder only if you'll think it's better than 80% of everything you've ever done.
Hey DeviantART, this is TrueRandomness of the Future of Kingdom Hearts Faction. We're not a new group that just formed today on this site; this group was founded by DarthXehanort back in 2008 on GameTrailers.com.

This group is one of our expansions, like our YouTube channel and our group on Last.FM. As far as leadership goes, we're sorry, but I've already decided who my Co-Founders and Contributors are going to be, who on GT are our faction admins and graphic designers that Darth has picked out for GT. But still, we'd love to have more KH fans aboard as well as artists to share their stuff with, I myself being a big fan of Photoshop. Since I broke that rule not too long ago, we'd like to have a hand full of DA natives as Contributors to help us understand the site better.

So, with that small intro out of the way, I'm sure that Darth will write up a better one, (hint hint, Darth), welcome to our expansion group. Hopefully you'll enjoy yourselves and join us on our main forums on GameTrailers.com as well as our other expansions.

Oh yeah, and, uh... it would be nice if you DeviantART natives could teach us about some of the codes for formatting things on this site. We use Bulletin Board Code, and I for one don't know if we're supposed to use HTML or CSS to embed pictures into blogs and other things like that. ^_^'

Thanks in advance.
